Arthritis behind knee caps
I've recently been diagnosed with this. The left knee is stiffer and more painful than the right. I take ibuprofen and paracetamol, glucosamine and turmeric every morning and the first two in the evening. This helps but I'm wondering if anyone with the same has found a tens machine or anything else helpful. Thank you.

Hello @Susanrk
Welcome to the Versus Arthritis Online Community I see you have been diagnosed with Arthritis in both knees and are wondering whether a tens machine might help. Speaking personally I have used a tens myself and it certainly did 'something' for me not a cure by any means, but it did help me a bit. I think they are a bit cheaper than they were when I bought my original one too. Have you tried a warm microwavable wheatbag too? Many of our members find them helpful.
Here is some information about tens machines:

Hi @Susanrk
I have worn out 2 tens machines over the years. They did help with my OA pain They sort of seem to 'confuse' my brain by thus sort of jiggly electrical impulse not painful just odd.
It's worth a try. If you get physio sometimes they let you borrow one to see if they are suitable before you sort of try before you buy!
Take care
