Tinnitus

I've suffered from tinnitus for as long as I can remember - I was tested probably more than 20 years ago. In my case it's a high pitched tone at about 10khz. In the last 18 months it's been worse than before - louder and more constant. I put it down to the overall state I've been in and pressure I've been under. Last week I was called back for further blood tests a week after my routine blood test. I asked what specifically was the problem and was told that my B12, ferritin, folate and thyroid were being checked. That lead me to Dr. Google and any connection between PsA and thyroid issues. I've read quite a few medical papers on the subject now and came across a couple of mentions regarding tinnitus. So I Dr. Googled PsA and tinnitus. There are plenty of anecdotal entries but few medical papers.
So just a quick question. Do many people here with PsA or any inflammatory arthritis have tinnitus?

Hi @jamieA ,
yup I’ve had tinnitus for some years now was given hearing aids for white noise tbh they don’t do anything to help at all they put mine down to hearing loss but I’m not convinced I must admit though it drives me barmy at times so I completely understand
take care

I have a friend with PsA and tinnitus but I guess it's bound to happen randomly. I only once got it briefly and it was dues to meds I was on at the time. So long ago I can't remember precisely but almost certainly either an NSAID or penicillamine.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
