New diagnosis

Hi, I am new here, I had xrays of my neck and upper spine 2 years ago, my doctors receptionist told me it was wear and tear, I recently saw a locum at my surgery and she told me I have severe osteoarthritis, I also have terrible problems with my right hip which apparently is all connected to my spine, I would welcome any feed back from anyone else in a similar situation, several people have commented that I am walking crookedly, and I can see in the mirror that I am now crooked, I am hideous embarrassed and in a lot of pain.

You have recently been told by the Locum Doctor that you have severe arthritis in your neck, spine and hip. You are hoping for some feedback from members in similar situations. Well you have come to the right place for support and tips on how to cope with life with arthritis. Having said that you do not say if the Locum has referred you for further xrays and to a consultant. If not, how do you feel about asking for a referral?
