First post. Looking for alternatives to potentially addictive pain medication. Cannot take ibuprofen or other NSAIDS due to high blood pressure ( currently controlled by medication)

Hi @Libby147
welcome to the community you have come to the right place to look for alternatives to pain management. It is worth learning as much as you can so you canhave discussions with your health care team
Getting some exercise is also a good way to manage pain, check out our Let's move with Leon videos to get some ideas to start with
Also our members here will have some ideas for you too I am sure. Be sure to ask as many questions as you need
Best Wishes

Hi @Libby147
I'm not sure if you have read this but it might be interesting for you regarding complementary and alternative treatments. I love my wheat bag, mine is quite wide, a bit like a collar because I use it mainly for arthritis in my neck though of course I can also use it anywhere else!
Then I use hand splints, I got my first ones from the NHS but now but my own to get away from the colour! They are good both after I have upset my wrist/knuckles and before if I think that the activity is going to end up causing pain.
I don't take any of the supplements but do have fish regularly and I'm considering vitamin D being a female in her 60's.
