Dealing with [private company to get medication], absolute joke of a company

Hello,

I was prescribed Amgevita in February and am still awaiting my first delivery. Unfortunately it's in the hands of a company the NHS outsources to, and they are beyond a joke. Wait times to get through to someone on the phone are as long as at my local GP, and when you finally do get through they lie to you or fob you off and say someone will call you back, which they then don't.

I'm so depressed by the thought of having to do this every month in order to get my medication. Why can't we just pick it up from the pharmacy like almost everyone else does?

Has anyone actually successfully had a delivery from these jokers? I just phoned to find out why I hadn't been given a time slot for tomorrow's delivery and was told it was cancelled. Nobody had bothered to inform me. Man on the phone could not possibly have cared any less. Reading the trustpilot reviews I can't believe they have ever actually carried out a single successful delivery.

I'm so scared that my medication is in the hands of this horrible, useless company. Is there any other way or is this really what we have to go through? I thought the constant NHS blunders I've put up with over the last year were bad, but this is on a whole new level. I'm pretty sure the rage and despair this has caused have led to my current flare-up, which is almost stopping me from working.

Hi @CuriousSquirrel - I’m sorry but I’ve had to moderate your post to remove the name of the company as it is against our community guidelines to name a medical company for good or bad reasons, as Versus Arthritis could be liable for what is on their website. The relevant guideline is here: https://community.versusarthritis.org/discussion/comment/681762/#Comment_681762

  • Wow, so clearly no help from Versus Arthritis here then, just censorship.

There really is nowhere to turn for help. What a depressing state of affairs.

    Hi there,

I don’t want to diminish your experience but I’ve had my medication from them for twelve months now, always delivered and rang them less than a week ago and got through in five minutes.

They also have an online chat thing now which you can use. I just get a text update when they are sending me a new injection, have you spoken to your doctor who has prescribed you it? Maybe there is something wrong on their end?

sorry you are having such a rubbish time,

  • Hi @Sfordham80 , did we speak on Instagram? I'm glad it's been working out for you, I'm hopeful that I've just been unlucky but their TrustPilot page makes for pretty horrifying reading.

I've just posted on a new discussion and mentioned their name so it will be removed by the moderator. I'm also having problems with communication, delivery, them questioning whether I am actually one of their customers... Why the NHS has subcontracted out to them is beyond me. I am going to register a formal complaint with my NHS trust - hopefully they will answer me at least.

Hello @Aberjonest thanks for reporting that you also having similar problems with Sciensus.

Our Volunteer Moderators were naturally following the Guidelines that we have for the Online Community regarding the naming of companies, medical establishments and health personnel. After discussing this issue, we have made an exception in this case as the company provides an important service on behalf of the NHS.
