Hello @CampW welcome to the online community
After an accident at work you are on the waiting list for ankle fusion. We are very aware that the waiting lists for operations are causing a lot of concerns for those in pain due to arthritic conditions. Versus Arthritis as a charity supporting those affected by arthritis is running a robust campaign to keep the issue of the waiting lists and other related concerns at the forefront of the decision makers' minds.
Meanwhile those of us in the online community are here to offer you information and support whilst you wait for an operation date. I attach some links which I hope you find helpful.
Do keep in touch and let us know how you get on.
Take care

Still on waiting list and my pain is changing to different areas of my foot and lower leg. Went to GP who told me to go online and buy an ankle leg support the hard plastic type. He says this is the way my ankle will feel after surgery so will give me an idea of what's to come. But the interest shown about change of pain wasn't great. I think once you are on a list that's it for you.

Good to hear from you again @CampW .
Sorry though to learn that you are still on the waiting list. Have you been referred to a physiotherapist to advise you on exercises for your ankle and leg.? You don't mention what pain relief if any you have been prescribed. I hope the following links will be helpful.
Best wishes
Poppyjane

Yes been shown some exercises but have a lot of pain and not full movement I've been on morphine and baclofen been told there is no other painkillers. If my ankle moves suddenly in any direction it's painful and I live with permanent stinging sensation and pins and needles and numbness of the foot and lower shin.
