Hello @Freyahound welcome to the online community,
You have RA and are asking if any members have experience of natural wrist fusion. You are faced with the choice of surgery or waiting for your wrist to fuse itself. This is not something I personally can help you with and wondered if you have a hand therapist in your area who may be be able to give you a clearer idea. I suspect some of your decision will be governed by the amount of pain you have and how much this is affecting your dexterity. I attach some links about wrist surgery and exercises that I hope you will find useful
Some of our members will have experience of OA of the wrist and I hope will be able to share their progress with you. Do browse round the community for all sorts of tips from members, we are a friendly group and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Take care
Poppyjane

I didnt even know there was such a thing as a natural fusion! I have RA and just recently my wrists have become a lot more painful and much more difficult to move. Im waiting for an appointment to have them looked at using ultra sound which I had no idea was a thing either. I hope you get the help you need and would be interested in hearing about your options more.

@Bic1982 you'd be surprised how effective ultrasound is! It diagnosed my daughter's collapsed shoulder before an MRI did the necessary for surgery.
Best of luck to you too. You can both swap notes but we need @stickywicket to tell you about hers which fused on their own I'm sure they did.
