Hello @Ja48 and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that that will be your experience as well.

I understand that you have osteoarthritis in your wrists and knees as well as other joints. Our website has some information that may be of use to y and I would recommend having a look. To help I've put a couple of links in below which may be of interest.

Please do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on and I am sure that others will connect with you to share their thoughts and experiences as well.

    With very best wishes

Hello Ja48, Like you I have a very painful knee. As the earliest appointment I could get with the physio through my doctor isn't until August, I paid out loads to see firstly a chiropractor, and then an acupuncturist. Although both have their merits, I am now having a cortisone injection - by the doctor.

However, one exercise the chiropractor gave me proved to be extremely helpful for the knee pain. You lie on your back (in bed if you cannot get down onto the floor), with your affected leg straight, and the other bent. Turn the foot of your affected leg so that it is facing outwards. In other words, if it's your left knee, turn your foot to face the left as much as it can. Then slowly lift the whole leg about two inches from the ground. Hold to a count of five seconds before lowering the leg. Repeat this 10 times. It strengthens a particular muscle which should help. Give it a try and hopefully, you will find those stairs less painful to climb in no time.
