Just looking for some help

My doctor referred me to a specialist on suspected rhumatoid arthritis. I have pain in my knees, elbows and hands but not too much swelling

Anyway my doctor referred me at the end of April an appointment came through for the beginning of August this has been cancelled with no rearrangement. I checked the NHS app and it says it will be reviewed by September. I'm incredibly frustrated and upset, and while my pain isn't too severe, I'd just like to find out what is causing it before it gets any worse. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to be a bother to my doctor or the hospital

You’re waiting to see a RA specialist as you are experiencing pain and swelling in various parts of your body. I can understand why you’re frustrated with having your appointment postponed and hope that you don’t have to wait to long.

    Hi @Honeybee150

you absolutely should chase this up it's not on cancelling you like this. Initially I'd go back to my GP in your shoes.

Obviously it's your decision, but if your GP thinks you should be seen then that's what ought to happen.

The information Chris B has given you is good and might help you to have an idea what is going on and what self help measures you can put in place in the meantime.

    ((()))

    Take care
