Hypermobility.. Fibromyalgia? In Limbo
Hello i am 31 years old and have had pain in some of my joints since November 2021..
I have recently seen a Rheumatologist.. who doesn't think it is Rheumatoid Arthritis.. (GP was querying this)
The consultant diagnosed me with moderate Hypermobility Syndrome and was surprised it had never been picked up before.. he told me to look at Fibromyalgia due to my chronic pain and ongoing fatigue..
He said the cartilage is breaking down on both of my knees which is where the pain can be worse.. my right hip tends to flare up for a week or two then settle.. my ankles and wrists at times too..
The pain comes in waves and tends to flare up then settle.. some of my blood tests intially showed signs of inflammation..
I wanted to reach out to others who have been in limbo regarding there diagnosis
Thank you
