Welcome to the forum, @Birdlady1 .
I understand that you have had arthritis for many years, have had surgery on your back in 2012 and recent bilateral hip replacements.
You find the current situation difficult with pain in most of your joints interfering in your hitherto active life,
From our website, firstly some general tips on living with the condition:
and some help with emotional well-being:
The other suggestion that many find helpful is not to regret the things we can no longer do, but rejoice in the things we can.
Take care, and please keep posting and let us know how you get on.

Hi @Birdlady1 Sounds like you've been through a lot 😥 I find just some very gentle exercises can often help, even chair based ones sometimes. Found some good ones on the NHS website. So hard when you feel down. It does often help to speak to your GP to tell them how you are feeling and hopefully they can offer some help. Keep talking to others to say how you are feeling as well - it can help. There is help out there - was recommended to speak to an occupational therapist to talk about things to help in the home. May be worth trying that route? Take care @astradog4 🌝

Hi @Birdlady1 it is hard when you have always been an active person and just day to day things are a real struggle... I completely empathise with you. As @astradog4 says maybe you could try and get some gentle movement back and day by day you might find strengthening your muscles helps your mobility and you might be able to do more as time goes on.
I'd take a look here Exercising with arthritis | Top tips, specific exercises (versusarthritis.org)
I find these daily stretches are really helpful to get the body moving gently
Hope you know we are all here to help :)
