not so active Gran
Hello, I have recently been diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in my knee, and have been put on waiting list for a knee replacement. Would love help with understanding and managing my daily pain. I was an active person until about a year ago, my hobbies include walking, gardening and going to football matches with my family. All these are now very difficult to do. any advice most welcome.

Sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis of severe osteoarthritis in your knee and that you are now waiting for a knee replacement. You mention your hobbies are now difficult for you to do.
Appreciate it may be very painful for you, but try to do some daily strengthening and stretching exercises to help keep muscle strength around the knee and you may also find it helpful to ask your GP to prescribe you Capsaicin cream to try. If used regularly, this can be a well-tolerated pain reliever for osteoarthritis in the knee.
