Hello, I was diagnosed with arthritis in both hips about eighteen months ago and subsequently it has begun in my hands too. At first my right hip was stiff and painful but now there is less pain but both hips are so stiff especially the left that I am reduced to walking slowly and less than a mile before I am almost dragging myself along and this with two walking poles.
My GP has just referred me for physiotherapy.

Hello @ScaryMary and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that that will be your experience as well.
I understand that you have osteoarthritis in both your hips and also now in your hands. Our website has a lot of useful information which might be of interest to you. It contains information on arthritis, treatments as well as hints and tips. I would recommend having a look around it. In the meantime I've put a couple of links in below which may be of use.
Please do keep posting and let us know how you are getting on and I am sure that others will connect with you to share their thoughts and experiences as well.
With very best wishes
