25 years of psoriatic arthritis, now new hip flare can mobility improve?
Due to working in cold drafty conditions l have now developed a flare in my hip. I've had psoriatic arthritis 25 years, diagnosed at 24 year old. Im very experienced at managing pain using a combination of humaira, tramadol, TENS machine, heat & very jaggy pressure mat.🥴 Mainly back, neck, wrists & hands affected. I have a pretty high pain threshold thanks to chronic pain everyday. I've always been active going to gigs & dancing regularly as hips & knees would only have a slight niggle now & again. I get a real buzz from enjoying live music with friends. Now worried the flare in my hip is the slippery slope of another joint being affected long term. Ive been walking like an old lady the last few days & pain is excruciating. Getting a hip x-ray next week. Recently been told my worst finger has osteoarthritis too. Has anyone managed to shake off hip damage longer term? Not ready to hang up my DM's yet & worried this is the slippery slope of osteoarthritis too
