Knees 🤔
Hi everyone
I'm newly diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the knees. I have lots of pain in the surrounding tissue, tender and lumpy. Is this usually the case
Thankyou
Diane

Hi @DianeD
welcome to the community,. You have mentioned having lots of pain in your knees and tenderness and lumpy. This would be due to inflammation, have you tried a cold compress. I would also suggest you contact your GP for an appointment and to discuss some pain relief.
I think you will find this information helpful
Also this section on managing pain might prove useful too
I am sure our members will share their experience with you. Keep in touch and let us know how you get on

Hi DianeD
As mentioned by Sharon, do get in touch with your GP regarding pain relief and also ask if he/she can refer you to Physio. This may take a few months to come about, but I have found that the physiotherapist will give you exercises specifically for your requirements.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.
Take care.

Great advice form the others @DianeD in some areas you can self refer to physio.
Just thought I'd mention that.
If your Dr is happy for you to try them these might be an idea?
Best of luck
