Glucosamine with Chondroitin
Hi, I am new to this site and am hoping I will be able to get some advice/tips from current members.
I have arthritis in both knees. I have had it for approximately 7-8 years and at present my knees are very stiff and I find it difficult to walk. I do exercises every morning and try to keep moving on and off throughout the day. I know there is no cure for this but would appreciate any advice you can give me in reducing the stiffness in my knees.
I have been taking Glucosamine with Chondroitin for many years but decided to stop taking it over 6 months ago and I wanted to ask if it actually does anything to help arthritis?

Morning @JELLI23456
Love the name!
My rheumatologist told me not to bother with them, but at that point I only had the inflammatory kind now I have OA as well.
There is this you can read:
Personally if you can't see any difference maybe you should save your money. It's all a very personal thing isn't it?
I am a firm believer in keeping moving as much as possible. I walk pretty well every day even if it's not far an dhave done some of the exercises and stretches on this site.
Would this one help you?
Take care
Toni xx
PS I also swear by my warm wheatbags that you microwave.

I wish there was a pill or supplement that actually worked the way the adverts say they will. If it did, the NHS would prescribe it. It's telling that they don't. I've never found any benefit from any supplements. My sister swore by glucosamine and chondroitin, but she still had two new knees before she was 60. She might argue that without the supplements she'd have needed them sooner, but the people who make this stuff imply that their product will stave off arthritis completely. Don't believe them.

Hi I find 300mg of hyaluronic acid 3 times a day defiantly made a big difference for me.
