Newbie with Osteoarthritis

Hi, I’m 52 have osteoarthritis in most of my joints, I’ve had 2 knee replacements in the last 15 months, I need both hips replacing, I’m feeling really down at the moment, mainly because my back has been continually painful and my ankles, which seemed to be my best joints are having shooting pains which means I can’t bear any weight on them, which is how my knees started,

Hi @Carrieannie2912 Welcome to the Online Community.

I see from your post that you are 'an old hand' when it comes to Arthritis having Osteoarthritis in most joints and having already had both knees replaced.

You are facing having both hips replaced in the future, but it sounds as though your back pain and ankle pain is making you feel quite low sadly quite common for those of us with long term conditions. I hope coming in here and chatting to others in similar positions to you will help. If you wanted to you could always call our Helpline for support as well.

Welcome to the forum from me too.

I am sorry you are feeling low. As Ellen said it's just so normal especially as you've already had so much done for your arthritis.

If it's any consolation lots of people here who have hip issues also have back ache (and groin ache too) not where you'd expect with hips, but definitely what they report.
