Newly diagnosed
Hi 👋
I've just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis and psoritic arthritis. Osteoarthritis affects my neck and shoulders. I don't have any visible swelling but rheumatology consultant believes that my medical history and family history are enough to give a diagnosis of psa and I'm due to start on methotrexate.
Unsure of what to expect and whether I'm doing the right thing in starting treatment. I've been having symptoms on and off for last 8 to 10 years and my brother has psa and fibromyalgia

Thanks for the link. I think this is the leaflet I was given by the consultant. I have read it and I guess although I'm fed up of being in pain and the constant struggle with fatigue and brain fog starting treatment is kind of accepting that yes I do have a lifelong autoimmune disease and I will need some kind of treatment constantly. 😊

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
