Flu and Covid jabs at the same time?
I know it's advisable to stop methotrexate for two weeks following Covid booster. My question is whether it would be good to have both Covid booster and flu jab at the same time, meaning only one interruption of methotrexate. Or whether it would be better to have the jabs at different times - I usually stop methotrexate for a couple of weeks following flu jab, but this would mean two blocks of a couple of weeks without methotrexate. Is there any evidence either way? Thanks.

Frankly, @Floss , I think it's normal to offer both together now. I had mine together last year and Mr SW had his latest both together this week. I expect mine will be the same next week. It's probably better all round as it saves NHS time. I'm in Scotland, though so it might be different in other parts of UK.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I've got my covid and flu boosters booked for the same day middle of October. I've got RA and am on MTX

Thanks - I must admit I’ve had very little advice on whether to skip methotrexate after my jabs. I had my fourth jab in July and it was grim. First Moderna, they made a mess and drew blood so it took ages to settle and the side effects were bad.. I’m tempted to just have the flu jab?!

I had the covid jab and fly together when vaccines were first rolled out in first wave. I have RA and am on MTX. I was very sick for a long time and it triggered a flare up that lasted ages.
i guess consult your doctor or consultant and discuss between you. I will not be doing it again.

I take no DMARDS as I found they did nothing for me or I had reactions. I manage my arthritis with NIMH Registered Herbalist with Funcitonal Medicoine Degree who has guided me through nutrition and many supplements alongside nutritional guidance for past 15 years.
I had my booster and was reluctant to have one with 2 virus immune stimulants. I was right. I had acute sweats overnight (still get occasional one still 2.5weeks since the jab) I vomited on night of jab.. with nothing to bring up!!. Been ‘wiped out’ since and had Rh flare up over larger area of hands than ever before.
Will never have ‘double jab’ again. Am allergic to many other drugs and the No Hope Service cannot facilitate or even consider a different way from the conveyor belt immunisation programme. I am gradually starting to get back to normal but energy still below before this 4th booster. Never again. Will continue to focus on my exercise and nutrition, which seems to keep me in better condition than many Rh.A., sufferers considering I was diagnosed 20 years ago! The NHS seems determined to kill me off with their drugs. I see Consultant twice yearly and show my blood test results to my NIMH Practitioner. For anyone who does not know.. you are entitled to have copies of your blood tests.
