New OS diagnosis advice
I am 42 years old and have just been diagnosed with OS in my hands, I have it in pretty much all my fingers in different joints. I work at a supermarket so I need the use of my fingers. Does anybody use ring splints and if so do they work? Can you recommend any?
Thank you

Hi @Mlord80
Welcome to the Online Community. Here you'll find a friendly bunch of people with different types of arthritis, who are happy to help.
You say you have recently been diagnosed with OS? I'm assuming that it's osteoarthritis (OA) in your hands? Splints and supports can be helpful for some people with OA, but it's important to get a good balance between the hands and fingers being in a fixed position and moving them. Avoiding moving can make the hands weaker and stiffer which can cause more pain in the long run, moving the joints little and often can help alleviate pain and stiffness.
You might find the information on OA of the hand and wrist helpful and some exercises to help strengthen the hands and fingers helpful too.
Best wishes
Tracey
