Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis (DISH)
Hi. I suffer from DISH (diagnosed 5 years ago aged 55).
My spine is becoming increasingly "frozen" restricting both twisting and bending; I have permanent pain in my right hip and leg - caused by trapped nerves (bone growing over the lumbar foramen), and I have had surgery for cervical DISH to clear the pressure on my windpipe and oesophagus. DISH sucks! I know there is no "wonder cure" but I wondered if anybody had any lifehacks to deal with the bending problems and the chronic pain?

Hi @MerwexGC
Welcome to the Online Community. Here you'll find a great bunch of people with different types of arthritis, who are happy to help.
You say you have DISH and are wanting to know from other any lifehacks on how to deal with bending problems and chronic pain? It may be helpful to speak to a physio if you haven't already done so to discuss a tailored routine of stretches and strengthening exercises.
I'm sure there will be plenty of tips coming your way but, in the meantime, I've put a couple of links below that you may find helpful.
I hope you find the information useful, please let us know how you get on.
Best wishes
