Paracetomol work OK. I used to find aspirin worked better for me but then became allergic to ibuprofen which is the same family, so haven't tried it since.

    Thanks @Loggiemod

Have now edited my OP to add, "caused".

Previously, asprin has resulted in an iffy tum.

    Thanks again.

    yes.

i used to take a combination of paracetamol and codeine.

eventually lead to me having to change medication as the headaches it caused were unbearable and my pain levels from the arthritis were too much for that combination anyway.

but to answer your question yes paracetamol has caused me headaches as it was taken everyday for an extended period.

It very much similar to a hang over but it doesn’t go by midday like a hang over and it’s worse. At least it was for me.

My OH suffered from these for a long time, migraines half the way through the night, finally diagnosed she went cold turkey on the painkillers and the migraines went away, thank goodness. This was over a period of several years. Curiously she can now drink a glass of red wine again without any bother, staying away from alcohol didn’t stop the pains she always hoped for a nights sleep though.

    its a grin, honest!
