I have a simple pistol grip crocodile one from NRS Healthcare, but my grip is weak, so I find that weakness sometimes needs quite a bit of skill, and both hands, to tip things over and lift them up with the pincers.

Hi @Woofy I got the shorter helping hand classic pro grabber. It was the extra features which attracted me to it. For example it's got a magnetic tip for picking up metal objects and a point which is useful for pulling up clothes. I added a string loop so I could hang it on my crutch.
I found it invaluable during the weeks following my hip replacement operation when I wasn't allowed to bend more than 90° to pick things up from the floor. However, I didn't use the grabber for getting stuff out of high cupboards. This grabber is lightweight which I guess you'd need it to be but if you need to drag or support heavy objects, the plastic arm might not be strong enough and you might need something longer that you can use with two hands.

Thank you. Yes I agree. Going to invest in some light weight steps instead.
