Oa in ankles

Hi all

I have oa in both my ankles ..its been confirmed by hospital ..but he then told me nothing else he can do and took me off list ..I have not a clue about stages of oa nor where I'm going or what to do next ..I seem just be in constant pain .feet swelling ..my toe nails have gone brittle ...and large corn on my little toe ..I have an appointment with foot clinic in January ...apart from this ..just nothing at all ...any advice be most appreciated

    Hi @Diane

    Maybe a chat with your GP is an idea? He or she should have had a letter from the consultant explaining what is what with your ankles. It sounds as though they aren't bad enough to have surgery yet, but your GP can still help you with pain relief physio referrals etc.

    I'm so glad you have the foot clinic apt in place at least ((()))
