Welcome, @SueBailey. In 2011 I developed sciatica, the main symptom being my left foot not taking my weight when I climbed stairs. I had an operation to decompress the nerves at L4/L5, since when, no problems. Good luck.

Hi Sue,
I have very recently joined and have very similar to you. I am 57 and a teacher. I went part time last Easter as I was finding the stress of the job and long working hours difficult to cope with. Do you suffer from fatigue? How did you cope with working? This site is great to share experiences with people who understand.
Take care.
Lily
