Banned foods with low immune system
Hi. I’ve heard that if you have a low immune system (like me with being on Rituximab), you shouldn’t have certain foods/drinks like Actimel or soft cheeses. Has anyone else come across this please? Thanks

This is about methotrexate but, I think, would apply to other immunosuppressants. https://www.nhs.uk/medicines/methotrexate/ The 'common questions' bit at the end has one on foods. As I recall, soft cheeses, pate and too much coffee are best avoided.
Your local pharmacist might know more.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I'm on the adalimumab biosimilar Amgevita. I was told that I shouldn't eat raw eggs, undercooked meat and poultry, soft cheese, blue cheese, pate and anything unpasteurised - these are listed on the NHS website.
I can't see any recommendations on foods to avoid when taking rituximab on the NHS website.

Thank you. I couldn’t find anything either. I’ll ask my rheumatologist I think too.
