My body is freaking out

Hi everyone I was recently seen by a private consultant and prescribed hydrocloraquin??? I've been taking them for 2 weeks.

For the last few days my body is covered in a hot red itchy rash that's getting worse.

I'm still on Prednisone which is being tapered off

Does anyone else have experience with this

Whilst your waiting for others to give you their experiences I just thought I'd share with you the info on our website about side effects Hydroxychloroquine | Side-effects, uses, time to work (versusarthritis.org) as it does mention skin rashes. Hope it helps reassure you this is a common side effect despite it not being pleasant.

yep I had that too while taking Hydroxychloraquine. I kept going with it to see if it settled, it never did for me.

you might want to mention it to the hospital if it doesn’t settle. It sometimes takes a few tweaks before they find the right meds.good luck.

It never happened for me, but i know in your shoes I would speak to my pharmacist who might be able to help.
