Does anyone have trouble with their wrists? I can hardly move my left wrist without being in pain and it feels weak. I can't lift things with it. Any tips on what I can do, do you think I need to visit the GP, I don't have a Specialist.

Good Morning @Fran111 welcome to the Versus Arthritis online Community.

I see from your post that you are struggling with your left wrist which is not only painful but feels weak.

You are querying whether you should see a Dr. I am attaching a link with information about Hand and wrist pain. There is a section detailing when you should visit a Dr:

I am also going to attach a link to some exercises which you might want to try possibly when you have had some reassurance from your GP that it's safe to go ahead:

While you wait for someone to come along to share their experience you might want to look around the rest of the forum? Living with Arthritis tends to be one of our most popular categories.

    Best wishes

    Ellen.

You might want to ask àbout wrist splints. There are so many types these days I wouldn't know where to start. Mine were given me yonks ago by the orthotist.

I'd suggest you try to avoid any action that puts pressure on the wrist joints. For me, that means getiing a cheap, lightweight kettle with a side handle so that I can lift with onè hand anď support the bottom of the kettlle with thè other. I try to avoid pans. I prefer my lightweight steamer.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I have problems with my wrists - can’t lift anything one-handed - and so use two handled saucepans which balance the weight a bit.
