Newly diagnosed RA and Ankeylosing spondylitis
Hello
I have just turned 40, have a 18 month year old toddler and last week diagnosed with ankeylosing spondylitis. It is still sinking in feel a little overwhelmed with the ramifications of an auto immune disease..... what even are the ramifications? I guess the chronic nature of it is a bit frightening. I will be starting hydroxychoroquine so if anyone had advice, knowledge or just wants to respond would be great to hear from you as it can feel a lot to take in!
Thanks in advance for reading

Hi Marshy. Sorry to here you have been diagnosed with these conditions. I have RA diagnosed last year. I started off on Hydroxychloraquine, but was then changed to Sulphsalazine. It is hard coming to terms with these things.
i am still having to adjust to doing things in different ways. Make sure you ask for help when you need it. I found that the hardest thing of all. Losing patience with myself when I can’t quite manage stuff, drives me in sane sometimes. We are all here for you though.
