  • Hi @GalaxyA12

Thank you for posting on the Online Community. It sounds as if you have been going through a rough time trying to manage your diet for Barratt’s oesophagus as well as your osteoarthritis (OA). It is understandable that you are concerned about losing weight. Unfortunately, at Versus Arthritis we do not have any information about a link between this condition and OA. Limited mobility and muscle weakness associated with osteoarthritis (OA) can increase your risk of falls.

It may help to talk things through further with your GP. Referral to a dietician for individual guidance about diet may be worth considering. Referral to a physiotherapist or falls prevention clinic may also help. The right kind of exercise and eating a healthy balanced diet and maintaining a healthy weight can all make a difference to how you feel.

If you would like to have more replies to your post, please repost on our 'living with arthritis' forum which is another source of support to help you be in touch with others living with arthritis facing similar challenges.

I hope the information given below will be of some help.

    Best wishes,
