Hi,

I've been on Methotrexate since being diagnosed with RA last summer. Has anyone found a way of combatting the lower immunity that comes with it. I never used to get sick and have had various infections since taking it. They've required antibiotics so I've been told to stop the Methotrexate for a week and just seem to be going round in circles 🥴

I always take a week off my meth if I have any sign of infection but, really, I just find it best to try to avoid them in the first place. My friends and family know not to come near me if they have coughs, sneezes etc, I have my annual flu jab and all covid ones. If you are working, with others, (I'm retired) it'll be harder but, these days, it's not unusual to see people in masks indoors. I hope you can find something that works for you.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I work in the NHS and go to wards with covid positive people, I have no physical contact, but wear a mask, take my boosters, and follow basic hygiene. So far, so good.

I find avoiding coughing and sneezing people the best advice. Good luck.
