Meloxicam
I am waiting for hip replacement as hip is bone on bone. Only medication that has any effect is Meloxicam - it takes the edge off the pain. Only problem is I worry about taking it as it has so many side effects. Any advice?

Hello @Nicj
Unfortunately all medication seems to have side-effects of some kind, and it is a good idea to talk to your doctor about whether Meloxicam continues to be the best treatment for you.

Hi @Nicj I used to take Naproxen which helped but you need to be careful of side effects and only take them with food. Those and Co-codomol used to help me when I had a flare up. Cyrrently I take Co-codomol and use Capsaicin cream, but them my arthritis is in my hands. Not sure of the cream would work on hips - ask your GP
