Hello All
Hi to all of you,
discovered
this site though the NHS as I thought I’d benefit with shared experiences of
other fellow sufferers of this condition.
Luckily this
is the only health issue I have but in itself quite disruptive to life.
I am a 58-year-old male who used to be extremely active playing rugby and football up to a good standard right into my mid-forties. And then after my 3rd meniscus operation a slow ache built in my right knee until now I permanently limp and clutch banisters for dear life when descending stairs.
Pre-pandemic I was supposed to get a TKR but this was postponed and since moving I’ve never met my doctor only the physio who’s determined to give me a steroid injection in my knee. This used to work but no longer.

hello @CinderKonan and welcome to the Community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that will be your experience as well.
I understand that you have arthritis in your knee and that you were hoping for a replacement but that this seems to be no longer offered. I would keep trying to get your doctor to recommend this. In the meantime I've put a couple of links in below about managing the knee pain which I hope might help.

Please keep posting and let us know how you are getting on and I am sure that others will connect with you to share their support and experience as well.
With very best wishes
