Applying to Access to Work for a grant
Has anyone had an equipment grant from Access to Work? I’m going back into the office soon one day a week, under flexible working arrangements, after three years working from home due to vulnerability to Covid, and have applied for a grant for a piece of equipment to help my painful stiff hands (OA and RA). I have my own equipment at home but would prefer not to keep carting it backwards and forwards and inevitably forgetting it in the wrong place. They say it can take 14 weeks for an application to be approved. Anyone have any experience of how long it really takes and what happens when they contact you?

I'm sure you'll have read this page but, just in case.....https://www.gov.uk/access-to-work/apply . It does say you can apply by phone so someone there might be able to tell you how long the wait would be. Failing that I'd guess ir's approximately the length of a piece of string.
I see, in 'Related contents' at the bottom you can click on the 'Reasonable adjustments'' page. I guess that would put the ball in your employer's court. Good luck.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
