I’m hear to read your stories and hope to learn more about this disease and how you all cope with it and treat it.

I am currently taking Enbrel injection’s weekly.

I started taking the injections and just as the medicine started to help me I had an outbreak of shingles and had to stop.

Months later after the shingles let up and another couple months to make sure I was over it and I took a Shingles vaccination.

I had to wait a couple more months before I could start Enbrel again. When I did that set off another round of Shingles BUT I trusted the vaccination and kept taking Enbrel and thankfully the shingles went away (neither time did the shingles break the skin, it stayed in the nerves, again thankfully).

I was left with some nerve damage but that has also gone away.

Enbrel is finally kicking in again and I’m starting to feel better finally.

It’s a struggle and I feel for everyone that has this. I’ll be glad to share more of my experiences with anyone (treatments, access to the high drug costs etc)

You are taking Enbrel injections every week but had a break for a couple of months due to having shingles, which caused nerve damage but has now gone away. You are feeling much better being back on Enbrel. It’s a struggle for you. You are happy to share your experiences with our members.
