Coping with osteoarthritis when you have young kids
Hello! It's my first post as I found out this week that I have osteoarthritis in my foot. I'm 37 and have 3 young children (oldest 4.5 years and youngest 15 months). I am currently going through a range of emotions whilst I process my diagnosis. One of my big fears is that I won't be able to maintain mobility and therefore will not be able to do certain activities with my kids. I appreciate everyone is affected differently by arthritis but I was just wondering if there were any parents out there with young children who are in a similar boat and how they are coming to terms with their condition?

Hello @MonT and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that will be your experience as well.
I understand that you have osteoarthritis in your foot and also going through various emotions about this. It is probably fair to say that we have all gone through this on first being diagnosed as we work out what it means. You are among new friends now who will have some understanding of what you are going through and I am sure will connect with you to share their support and experiences. I've put a couple of links below from our website which may be of some use to you.

Please keep posting and let us know how you are getting on.
