Weather!!
Morning all, I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hands last August, then it was found in my thoracic spine. Also have degenerative discs in my neck. Anyone found that 24-48 hrs before it rains their aches and pains get worse? Have been prescribed Co-odamol 30/500 and oramorph. Feel like doc just isn't interested. I'm 58, still working full time and can't afford to stop, any info, advice would be gratefully received

Hi @Fionalw1403,
Welcome to our online community :)
Some people do find that the weather can effect their arthritis and pain. Some people find that keeping their joints warm can be quite helpful. Also doing some gentle stretches and exercises can also help during this time. I've linked our webpage on this below.
You may also find capsaicin cream or flexiseq gel helpful. You can ask your GP to prescribe you this if you'd like to try this.
Best wishes,
Sharmin - Mod :)

Hi @Fionalw1403 Data from this recent UK research involving 2,600 participants showed:
"a modest, but significant, correlation between pain and three weather components — relative humidity, air pressure and wind speed. Temperature, however, did not have a significant association with pain."
I generally, but not always, find this to be the case with my arthritis.
