Recently Diagnosed
Hello, I am 62 and was diagnosed with RA in May of last year after a flare up which left me unwell for 5 months. I have since had 2 depo-medrone injections in the hope of avoiding long term medication.I have been prescribed 200mg hydroxychloroquine sulfate but am anxious about the side effects.I initially had problems with my hands and feet but have recently had several weeks of neck pain and stiffness. I am feeling a bit lost at the moment as I have always been busy and active. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Vianne,
Welcome and thank you for joining the Versus Arthritis online community 😊
Sorry to hear what you're experiencing at the moment. If you haven't already, you can let your rheumatologist know about your recent pain and stiffness. This way they can look at what's going on for you and what may be helpful to help manage your pain and stiffness. And remember you can also call the Versus Arthritis helpline to talk about what's going on for you. You can also find others to talk to on the 'Living with arthritis' forum.
Best wishes,
Sharmin - Mod
