Hi all iv recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, I’m really struggling with pain in my shoulders especially at night which is affecting my sleep! Are there any tips that I could grab at that will help ease the pain? I am in pain medication as well as methotrexate but up to now nothing seems to be helping 😟

    Hi there,

I've had RA for years and take methotrexate and hydroxychloroquine for it. I wonder how long you've been on meth. It can take up to 12 weeks to work. In the meantimè it's just a matter of pain relief and gentle range of movement exercises. Shoulders are really tricky things to get comfy. Maybe carefully arranging pillows?

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    hi,

was only diagnosed last month been on methotrexate for 4 weeks so really recent diagnosis. Just had my pain meds changed as was on tramadol and it didn’t agree with me. Now on dihydrocodine and paracetamol which seemed to work a little last night didn’t wake as much during the night and didn’t wake up as stiff this morning so fingers crossed it carries on this way. 🙂🤞
