Knee replacement
I have osteoarthritis in my right knee. Physio at the hospital have now advised me to stop exercises because my knee is very swollen. They asked me to contact my doctor to be referred to orthopaedics. My doctor says he cant refer me because I am only 51. He will give me another steroid injection. My first steroid injection only lasted for 2 months. Is anyone else in fifties and been referred to see orthopaedics.

Yes! Me! I too had a very swollen knee, multiple times. So bad I could not walk at all last time. I had it drained twice- that might be what you need. I had the steroid injection too and have been given colchicine while I do physio therapy. I’m also 51!

The draining really helped me bend my leg and made it possible to start the physio properly. Hope you get sorted
