Methotrexate
i am newly diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and have been on methotrexate for 4 weeks. Last week I upped my tablets from 6 to 8 and since then I have stated to have a little blood spotting coming from my right nostril. It starts in the morning and by the evening stops. Could it be the methotrexate? Thanks for any advice in advance.

Hi @Ariana
Thank you for posting on our on-line community, we are sorry to hear that you have recently starting with bleeding from your right nostril.
Can I ask was it the Rheumatologist consultant that advised you to increase your medication from 6 to 8 and our advice would of course be to speak to your healthcare practitioner and let them know about the recent changes that you are experiencing.
I have looked at the side affects of taking methotrexate and the main one's are feeling sick, headaches and vomiting but it also suggested speaking to your nurse consultant if you are experiencing unexplained bleeding, I have attached our link to Methotrexate and the NHS link as well, we hope this helps, but, in the meantime, do speak to your consultant.
Best wishes
Chris
