Update.
Hi gang. Spent most of the day at Rheumatology. Providing my bloods come back ok, someone from the department will be ringing me. I have been prescribed Mex. along with folic acid. Iron tablets, calcium tablet, and steroids. There have been some changes in my ultrasounds. Which are clearly showing RA. I think I’m finally going to be on the right road. Medication wise. Rheumatologist’ was very sympathetic to the amount of pain I had been in this past 18 months. Have to say I shed a tear. I know it might not be plain sailing but it’s a start. Thank you all for your support, much appreciated.

It's not fabulous news that you have RA @Woofy , but it is fabulous news that you have finally got your diagnosis and are getting the correct treatment.
Sending you some ((())) and some💐
Shedding a tear is quite understandable.
Take care

Hi. Been on Methotrexate about 5 weeks now, but supported with steroids lower dose over a longer time. Won’t know until about August when steroids end if mex has some good effects. Seem to be tolerating meds though. Only side effect is I’m shedding a bit of hair, but I’m ok with that. How are you.

Glad to hear your MTX seems to be ok so far.
Are you taking folic acid for the hair loss. You may be able to take it as often as every day except for MTX day.
Take care
