Just diagnosed osteoarthritis in the hip & knee

Hello all, I have had a problem with my hip and knee for over a year it has gradually got worse I have had more xrays done and the Dr said it is osteoarthritis and wear and tear. I asked if I could have stronger medication originally they had put me on Naproxen twice a day they have taken me off that and I have been prescribed Tramadol 50mg I take up to 6 a day but they are not even touching the pain. As soon as I go to bed and lay down the pain is so severe. I use heat pads etc.

Would anyone have any tips to help.

Welcome to the versus arthritis forum.

You have OA in your knee and hip and the medication you’ve been prescribed isn’t helping much. You’d like to hear from forum members who have any advice that could help with easing your situation.
