OA in my knee
Hey
I have been diagnosed with OA in my left knee last year and I am going to need a TKR at only 38. I have had loads of issues with my knees over the years with multiple dislocation and this was all caused by shallow kneecaps. I got a meeting with my surgeon next week. I would love to chat to someone who is going through this as this has been pretty rough.
thanks
Philip

Hello @philiplackmaker and welcome to the Community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that will be your experience as well.
I understand that you have osteoarthritis in your left knee and needing a total knee replacement soon. You are certainly in the right place to chat about this. You could try searching using the magnifying glass to search the conversations, e.g. https://community.versusarthritis.org/search?query=TKR&scope=site&source=community . Also our website has some useful info, I've put a couple of links in below.

Please keep posting and let us know how you are getting on and I am sure that others will connect with you to share their support and experiences as well.
With very best wishes,
