Hello there, tackling osteoarthritis with lifestyle/dietary changes/weight loss and Tai Chi!
Hello there,
After going through various appointments since last November - and quite frankly being in schock, also stress of moving house and DD heading towards A level exams...
I have arrived at a place where I am trying to tackle osteoarthritis in a holistic way with above changes. Aiming to start Tai Chi class tomorrow I hope. If not tomorrow then next week.
It is all a bit scary and not feeling as if I'm making much progress at the moment, so just reaching out for a chat and to find others who might be on a similar journey.
Regards
FG

Hello @Forestgarden13 Welcome to the online community.
You will find plenty of people here who also have Osteoarthritis like yourself. Whichever type of Arthritis they have everyone here understands pain.
I see you are going down the holistic route
We have some information on Tai Chi:
I can quite understand the shock of your diagnosis this might help?
Do let us know how you get on.
Best wishes
Ellen.

I like your ideas. They should help.
I hope fhe house moving stress is now in the past as that certainly doesn't.
I'd just add don't smoke, eat healthily and listen to your body. If some activity makes things worse try to give it up at least until things settle. But do keep up the exercises. Good luck☺
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

How great to get replies and thanks everyone.
It has been quite scary but onwards and upwards.
Yes, totally true stickey wicket house moving stress was awful but glad to say it is ground floor living now.
