Methotrexate and Botox
Having recently being diagnosed with RA I'm now taking weekly 15mg methotrexate injection so far I'm tolerating it well (so far only had 3 injections). It's early days so not yet feeling any relief to my painful symptoms.
Just wanting to know if it's safe to have Botox injections for brow lines/wrinkles around eyes whilst taking this medication. I've got an appt coming up and my practitioner says it's ok but I'd appreciate some comments from other RA sufferers.
Thanks

Morning @Hallie2011
I can't remember any discussions about Botox for lines, but there have been discussions about having them for pain so maybe some of these threads might be of interest?
Hope it goes well for you,
Ellen.

In your shoes I'd be checking with rheumatology or a pharmacist not just taking the word of the practitioner.
Would be good if you'd let us know what you find out though in case anyone else wants to know in future?
Bets of luck

Good point Toni - I'm going to ask my consultant next time I see her. Will post an update.
