Immune suppressed and Periodontal Cleaning
Hello I have Rheumatoid arthritis and take Methotrexate and Hydroxychloroquine. I have Periodontal gum disease and my Dentist has said I need Periodontal cleaning. Is this okay for me to have if my immune system is compromised? I don't want to lose my teeth but am very worried about this. Thank you.

Hi @Dennison72
I would suggest you speak to your rheumatology team and they will have all your medical records and be able to answer this for you and either put your mind at ease or guide you to alternative treatments.
Best wishes
