BBC Journalist and newsreader George Alaghia has died at the age of 67, after battling cancer.

    He certainly 'battled cancer' but so do many others. What really impressed me about him is that he seems to have been a thoroughly decent human being - kind, caring, thoughtful, not at all rancorous about the racism he experienced at school, with a good sense of humour and even the ability to count the blessings of cancer. (So, applicable to arthritis too.) Rest in peace, George. You seem to have left the world in a much better place for your presence here.

    If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
