Scar itching

I am now 18 days post op for hip replacement. I had the dressing removed 4 days ago. The scar is healing well and all is going well but the itching around the scar is driving me mad. Any advice would be welcome. How long does this itching last and is there anything to use that would ease it. I do have some bio oil and moisturiser but when is it ok to start using it?

Hi @Shazznay I would suggest talking to your GP/Consultant about this to make sure that all is OK. In the meantime have a look at the following which might be of interest.
