Hi everyone, I'm new to the group but not to PsA . Just finished my loading dose of Cosentyx and at the weekend had a sudden increase in pain and instability of my hip. I need a hip replacement but the pain is different, more acute. Anyone here taking Cosentyx and have a similar experience ? I tried calling Rheumatology but no response, and GP who referred me back to rheumatology. Many thanks, Helen 😀

Hello @Helsym and welcome to the online community,

I understand you’ve been diagnosed with PSA for some while and you are starting on Cosentyx. You’re experiencing a sudden unusual pain in your hip and you’re wondering if this could be related to the medication. You’re doing the right thing by trying to contact Rheumatology, although it can be difficult to reach them easily these days. Meanwhile, I’ve attached a link to some information about Cosentyx which gives quite a bit of detail about the side effects and risks that might be helpful.

Our members are a friendly group who all have experienced living with some form of arthritis. I’m sure you’ll find lots of helpful advice and support in the forum, so do have a look round and join in any conversations wherever you feel comfortable.
